Travel retail's Hand in Hand for Haiti project nears landmark opening
HAITI. Travel retail charity project Hand in Hand for Haiti is nearing a major landmark, with the opening in October of the new Lycée (school) Jean-Baptiste Point du Sable. The project has been the focus of sixteen months’ industry fund-raising.

The hurricane-proof, anti-seismic, sustainable school is located in Saint Marc, north of the capital Port-au-Prince. The first 153 students will begin their education here in four weeks and eventually the school will offer education to over 700 students from pre-school to secondary level. Bilingual education (English-French) with best-in-class academic standards in alignment with the Haitian academic curriculum will be provided.
